Youtube For iOS Gets New Video Editing Feature

Google's YouTube for iOS app has just been given a new and necessary feature. The updated app provides easier access to recommended videos, favorite channels, and subscriptions via the tabs at the top, which is more in line with the Android version.

Additionally, YouTube added a new in-app editing tools, allowing users to upload videos and edit them even when you're on the road.

The in-app editing tools in iOS does not pack a wide range of options, but they allow users to trim clips, add visual effects and attach music. The new design will also surface more relevant videos that the company thinks users will want to see.

The new YouTube app is now available in Apple's App Store and requires iOS 7 or later.

The move comes days after Google rolled out an update to YouTube Kids app aims to solve some of the problems raised earlier this year by parents and consumer watchdog groups. Two new features "only for parents' help adults learn how the app works, and allows for a customized password.
