Google Translate is to see an update in the Google Play Store, and for the lucky few running Android 6.0 Marshmallow You're in for a real treat. Gone are the days of having to copy / paste text directly in the app to get a translation. Now the app can now work its magic directly from within other applications. Just highlight the text inside the app and watch as the translation appears in a handy pop-up window.
The only time it usually does not works is if the developer implemented its own text selection behavior. If so, it should be up to the dev to use the default one which can easily be added along with instructions here. For all those running Android 6.0 Marshmallow on their devices, you can take the updated Google Translate app from the Play Store right now.
