Facebook Helps To Plan Your Vote With Facebook Voting Guide

On November 8, the United States of America will vote for the next president, as well as a couple of other races. Apart from other years, the ballot on November 8, will be slightly different in every state of the country, and even many of the cities across the country. Google has already put out information on ballots for each section of the United States, where we can search and try to see what we vote for. Now Facebook is doing something similar with their newly introduced voting guide. The Facebook Voting Guide not only shows what races you'll be voting on, but also shows where the candidates stand on the issues.

If you have not paid attention to the latest political events, You'll also be able to see the records that the candidate has received, and there is a link to their recent posts on Facebook and their website. Actually, it gives you all the details you may need to make an informed decision on who will get your vote.

What is interesting in this vote guide is that you can "Favorite" everyone you plan to vote, then email the results to yourself to take with you to the polls on November 8. Apart from all this the main thing to keep in mind is that when you go to vote, just make sure you vote.

Facebook Website Down For Some Users

Facebook website seems to be down. The site does not appear to load for many of the users, instead, only a blank page is being seen.

The official Facebook app does not to have any problem, and works well. The problem seems to focus most people in the UK and Europe, according to the rules Detector website.

"Facebook is down for required maintenance right now, but you should be able to get back on within a few minutes," the message reads. "In the meantime, read more about why you're seeing this message. Thanks for your patience as we improve the site.'

This is the message being shown to some users who visits from outside the Facebook app.

Facebook Messenger Now Supports Multi-Account

If you run multiple accounts on Facebook, you will feel like an overwhelming task to try to control all communications going in and out. More commonly, however, the families that all share the same device throughout the day. If everyone in the household using a common tablet, it is usually necessary (annoyingly) to sign in and out of a group of Facebook account whenever you want to talk to your friends on Facebook specific.

Facebook has been testing the feature for multiple Messenger account for a while ', and the company now distributes the function of the official app for its first mobile Android, because it is not clear when users can (or if) iOS have the characteristic.

"All over the world, hundreds of millions of people share their phones and tablets with members of their family and friends. At Messenger, we want to make communication simpler, more seamless and secure, so we are happy that we have now launched a feature on Android that enables multiple people to log in and use Messenger from a single, shared device," Facebook's post reads.

"The beauty of this new feature is that messages remain strictly private. Anyone else who shares the device only see the number of notifications of messages you have, but they will never be able to view the content of messages."

Add multiple accounts to the Android version of Facebook Messenger is quite easy. All you have to do is pull up the application settings menu (within the same application) and try a new "Account" option. You can add all the different accounts that you want to use Messenger in there, but you will have to enter the password the first time that you switch to one of them. After that, you can choose to have Facebook Messenger remember the password for each account, assuming you trust your family will not mess with your conversations.

On the positive side, each account will receive notifications only for himself. So, if you are signed in to your account, you will not get any kind of notice if the brothers accounts are blown up with messages. They will have to take the device from your  hands and check themselves.

Facebook Message Requests To Replace Your Mobile Number

Facebook is planning to take over the place of SMS and mobile numbers completely. Facebook is now planning to make anyone around the world to message you even if they are not your friend - same like sms.For this the only thing a person will require is the other persons Facebook name. But to do so, the social network will kill a part of your Facebook inbox - a feature probably you never knew you had. Facebooks hardly known and rarely used "Other" inbox soon cease in favor of a new addition to Messenger called Message Requests.

If you do not know what is the “Other” inbox, log on to the top of the panel and facebook.com/messages steering on the left you will see the "Other" heading. There are messages from people who are not on your Facebook friends or Facebook pages. The idea behind the "Other" was to deliver messages-i.e. unauthorized messages from non-friends-without overloading your inbox. This was a less known feature in Facebook

Facebook hopes Message Request will fill a similar role to the Other inbox, but becomes much more useful. The big difference is that Message Request is being built for the apps on Android and iOS Facebook Messenger, not the desktop.

You can still find it on the desktop in the same place as it was Other, according to a screenshot obtained by TechCrunch, but first mobile message applications.

Messenger for Android and on iOS, Message Request appears as a folder on the top of your message queue. When you have a new message from a person who is not Facebook friend will be directed there, and you see unread counts when you have new messages.

When you get a request message you can see the name of the person who sent the message, some basic profile information, and the message itself. If you respond to the person, their message is removed from the Requests folder to the message inbox regularly.

"We really wanted to make the place where Messenger you can find and connect privately with anyone who you need to reach them ... Now, the only thing you need to talk to almost anyone in the world , is just there Facebook name.

The request message also encourages users to synchronize their mobile address books with Facebook. Even if you are not Facebook friends with someone, as long as they are in the phone's address book and Address Book are synchronized to the Facebook servers-Facebook messages from them will appear in your Messenger inbox.

This new feature has started to come out with new Facebook updates to the users worldwide.

Facebook Updates Its Notes Feature

Experimental makeover Facebook notes, functionality that allows you to write long messages formatted nicely, was apparently successful.

Now the social network made its official redesign, Facebook said Friday. The refreshed version of notes is available for everyone.

The company has largely ignored ratings for years; the last major update was in 2010-but built like Facebook more of its publishing functions for the media, it makes sense to encourage its 1.25 billion users to think the social network as a place for their own blog posts as well.

While Notes is still relatively rudimentary, the update brings some much needed customization features to function. Users now have access to a basic set of text formatting tools - such as headers, block quotes and of bulleted and numbered lists -and can add cover images to each note.

You can also bold, underline and italic text via keyboard shortcuts, but there is no integrated buttons available for those features.

Some of these formatting options, and the possibility of integrating photos, were available in previous versions tickets. But the redesign makes much more elegant function. With a new font and visually more attractive layout, Notes now more research as blog posts that day extended status updates.

As we have when Facebook began experimenting with the new look, change Loos also makes Facebook more as a way, the commissioning of blogs created by Twitter co-founder Ev Williams.

You can check for new comments on the website and Facebook applications now. Unfortunately, the creation of the note is limited only to the web version at the moment. Facebook did not say whether this could possibly change.

Facebook Messenger Tests New Personal Assistant

Facebook isn't content merely becoming a repository for all your photos, messages, and status updates. Obviously, the business also would like to start helping you in your day to day life. This week Facebook began rolling out Facebook M, an individual electronic associate you are able to access within the Facebook Messenger software.

Based on to Facebook's vice president of messaging products, David Marcus, M is a different type of personal assistant than present choices these types of as Bing Now, Apple's Siri, or Microsoft's Cortana. First, Facebook M isn't only supported by computer system smarts; it's additionally powered by real people. And 2nd, it doesn’t simply guide you to get things done — it completes jobs for you.Facebook M can purchase things and get them delivered to family and friends, make travel arrangements, and book appointments or reservations at restaurants. Facebook wishes M to be your go-to supply for mobile breakthrough, replacing you have to hit up several apps like Google Maps, Yelp, Uber, and OpenTable to get a job done.

Here’s just how Facebook M works: You tap a button during the bottom of the Messenger software to send M a message, similar to you would a pal. You make a request of Facebook M using normal language, like “Where’s a good location to get pizza in San Francisco?” or “I need a gift for my greatest friend’s birthday. Just what should I buy?” and then you continue a discussion with M until the job is completed. M learns about your choices from your conversations — it doesn’t draw data from the remainder of your Facebook existence — and makes tips based about what it learns. With respect to WIRED, one of several many useful applications of Facebook M thus far along with its beta testers is phoning your bank or internet solution provider and enduring the droning hold music and automatic messages for you.

So Facebook M is quite different from various other digital assistants. Contrary to Siri and Cortana, which have been both "female" here in the M, U.S. has no gender (and you also can’t inform whether it’s human or algorithm answering your queries). And second, with real men and women (dubbed "M trainers") functioning behind the M, scenes is half digital half and assistant Taskrabbit or Amazon Mechanical Turk. (For now, at the very least, Facebook is footing the bill for the human a portion of the equation.) M, thirdly is focused much more on helping you accomplish real jobs, rather than assisting you plan your schedule or search the internet for details.

Facebook M began rolling out to a couple hundred Facebook Messenger users earlier this week and will slowly increase to even more throughout the coming months.
