As of the reports of the tech Giant Samsung, the recall of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphone, after a few phones have exploded when change was caused by a "battery cell problem".
Following the announcement of a worldwide recall of its Galaxy Note 7 smartphone, Samsung has detailed an exchange program to the customers of the United States. Samsung has officially confirmed 35 cases where Note 7 caught fire while charging. The reason for this battery explosion was some defective batteries installed in less than 0.1% of the total volume of the Note 7's sold.
Yet Samsung recalled all Galaxy Note 7 phones on prudence and replace each battery. Samsung expects all callback could take about two weeks.
US customers-have two options for switching Their Galaxy Note 7:
- Exchange Galaxy Note 7 for a new, fixed Note 7 /OR/
- Exchange Galaxy Note 7 for a Galaxy S7 Edge and replacement of Note 7 Any specific accessories with a refund on the price difference entre les devices.
Samsung said the opportunity to exchange a Galaxy Note 7 for a new Note 7 could start by next week. There is no word when the second option to exchange for a Galaxy S7 or S7 edge will begin.
In addition, Samsung is giving Note 7 buyers a $25 gift card or credit off their carrier bill for their troubles. This applies only if you're swapping out your Note 7 with another phone from the Galaxy S7 family or for another Galaxy Note 7.
