The time of passwords and fingerprints is coming to an end, HSBC Business customers can now verify their identity with a selfie.
Those signing up for a business account in the UK on a mobile device will now be able to upload a head-shot selfie to complete their account ID security check.
HSBC will enable customers to take a selfie on the front camera of their Apple or Android device before the picture is evaluated using facial tracking technology against other photos IDs uploaded by the clients.
With these new steps HSBC is planning to save the time of business customers and open business accounts with ease. Now the customer’s need not have to visit the branch for the purpose of account verification.
