Android Is Now As Secure As iPhone

iPhones are less affected by malware attacks compared to Android devices. It is the reason that BlackBerry fell to her knees as governments and companies began replacing their aging tech with iPhones. Android is often considered as less secure than iOS platform, but according to a Google engineer, that's not the case.

Adrian Ludwig, director of the security of Android said that the platforms are "almost identical in terms of their platform-level opportunities for almost any threat models. "Ludwig recently spoke at a conference on security in Manhattan, saying that Google's new Pixel Phones are pretty much similar to the iPhone in terms of safety, but Ludwig was quick to mention that he believes that Android will soon surpass iPhone in terms of security.

From the Google engineer, the delay of the smartphone manufacturers in providing updates to the users are the reason for the occurrence of high-profile exploits that pop up from time to time.

This can be changed only by the manufactures by pushing out monthly security updates.

iPhone 8 : Apple In Talks With Sharp To Supply OLED Displays For Next IPhone

If you have seen the performance and brightness of the Samsung’s AMOLED screen, then you will definitely be a little disappointed by the performance of the iPhone 7 LCD display. It seems like apple has also realized this. A new report says Apple is reportedly in negotiations with Sharp OLED displays for the iPhone 8.

New reports show that Apple is in negotiations with Sharp to secure OLED displays for Apple's next generation iPhone. Sharp aims to produce the mobile displays begin in June 2018 according to Bloomberg.

OLEDs, or organic light emitting diode, a display technology that requires no backlight such as the traditional liquid crystal displays (LCD) is required. Instead, each pixel is filled with an organic compound that emits light when an electric current is passed through it. This is the technology that enables companies like Samsung to produce phones with curved displays.

Apple may work with additional partners on securing a supply of OLED screens for the next iPhone, according to Ubergizmo. Apple would acquire OLED displays from companies like LG, Japan Display and even Samsung.

iPhone 7 Home Button Does Not Work With Hand Gloves

With the release of iPhone 7 Apple introduced a new approach to the home button. This is a similar approach to the one used on the track pad for the latest MacBook’s. Unlike the other older iPhone model home buttons which relays on the internal mechanics, the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus comes with a new beautiful home button which relies on force sensitivity.

Now after the phones are released to the real world markets, users have played around with the handset, and a new discovery was made - the new look Home button only works with the skin-to-iPhone contact. This reports which in turn confirms that, if you plan on wearing gloves this winter time it looks like you might have to make them whip to get anywhere, although based on user tests are reported on the Web, some gloves designed for touch interfaces prove compatible.

Unlike the working of home button in Android phones, the home button in the iPhone plays an important role in the overall functionality of the device. It is used not only to unlock the phone - it gets you back to the start on iOS, you can access Siri activates multitasking and so on. Since you cannot physically push down on the button, you're out of luck with gloves.

We could expect Apple to come out with a quick fix for this problem soon, at least before the next winter.
