Bittorrent Unveils Peer-To-Peer Live-Streaming Platform


BitTorrent has launched a new streaming video service called BitTorrent Live. It’s like a take on live television, with live channels includes five key areas like - news, technology, sports, music and culture.

It uses peer-to-peer technology. The product, appropriately named "Live" streaming live sports, news and other programs by the broadcasting company partners. Since in the peer-to-peer technology, video quality gets improved as more people tune in - BT said the platform allows a wide public to view live video with less than 10 seconds of latency

BitTorrent had a beta of "Live" since March 2013. The application is free to download and comes with a free program everyone can access. At present, BitTorrent Live is not a social streaming application, so you cannot use it for personal broadcasts as like periscope.
