Pandora has offered ad-free streaming for a while now with their Pandora One membership, but it’s not worth forking over $4.99 a month when you only use it every once in a while. Starting this Thursday, you can buy a day’s worth of ad-free streaming for $0.99.
The new service, Pandora One Day Pass, is pretty straight-forward. Once you choose to buy a day pass, you get 24 hours of ad-free streaming across any Pandora capable devices you own. It’s perfect for when you’re hosting a party, having a barbecue, or going on a long drive and don’t want ads killing the vibe. Obviously, if you’re a regular listener, the standard Pandora One subscription is a much better deal. This service is geared more for occasional users only. The One Day Pass is available Thursday, but to lead up to it, Pandora is streaming 24 hours of ad-free music for their 10th anniversary tomorrow.
