Samsung Galaxy S8 Rumored To Feature 90 Percent Screen

After the total withdrawal of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 from the market due to the explosion of the battery, the Samsung fans are all waiting for the Galaxy S8 release. The rumors about its specifications have been circulating for weeks. The most popular rumor right now is that the next handset will be coming without a home button. According to recent reports the new Samsung Galaxy S8 will have a face that is mostly made up of its screen.

Samsung is said to work with the new display technology that allows manufacturers to build smartphone with a screen-to-body ratio of 90 percent. If we consider the previous phones, the average ratio of the display to the front of current smartphones in the market is around 80 percent.

If the rumors are true, the Galaxy S8 would be the first of the Galaxy S series to abandon the physical home button on the front. The fingerprint scanner is believed to be built under the display itself.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Owners Can Get New Replacement Phones By Sept 21

Samsung's official recall of Note 7 devices is underway. Carriers has started notifying customers about when they could expect the replacement devices, with this its confirmed that Note 7 owners will not have to wait much longer for a replacement device.

Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, AT & T and US Cellular have all confirmed that they will have replacement devices available at their retail locations from September 21. Samsung has also confirmed the dates as told by the mobile carrier's.

If you are still holding a defective Galaxy Note 7, it is recommended to power off the device and stop using them as soon as possible. Affected devices can be returned or exchanged at the same location where they were purchased. Samsung is also offering a bonus to the users who exchange their defective Note 7 with a new one. Samsung is offering a $25 credit or gift card to the victims of the recall.

Samsung has a form on their website where you can enter the serial number of your device to check whether it should be replaced.

Despite making some of its best smartphones this year, Samsung has faced an uphill battle to convince customers to buy devices like the Galaxy S6 and note 5. The company has already reduced the price of its flagship product, S6 and S6 Edge just months after its launch, and now the company is launching a new promotion in the United States hope to get a few more customers to part with their money.

Under the new promotion, Samsung will pay you the rest of your monthly payments in 2015 to all new Galaxy S6, Edge S6, S6 Edge+ or Galaxy Note 5 devices.
